The Orthodontic Evaluation

An Orthodontic evaluation consists of:

  • Dental and medical history.
  • An examination to determine how well your teeth and jaws fit together.
  • X-rays and photos of your head, face and teeth to show the shape and size of your jaws and their relationship to each other and your teeth.
  • Impressions of the teeth to construct models that reveal the exact alignment of your top and bottom teeth.

Early Orthodontics

Early treatment (Phase I) for 7-9 year olds help modify the growth process. Benefits include:

  • Enhance self-esteem by improving your child’s appearance.
  • Prevention of fractures to protrusive front teeth since they are more easily damaged due to falls, accidents and sports.
  • Widening of the dental arches to accommodate all the permanent teeth, correct cross bites and maintain spacing.
  • Improved results during comprehensive Phase II treatment when all permanent teeth are present.
  • A more stable long-term result, especially with severe bite problems.

Adult Orthodontics

Adult orthodontics can improve your appearance by aligning and straightening your teeth for a smile you have always wanted.

Other benefits include:

  • More comfortable bite.
  • Improve the way your jaws work together.
  • May lessen or eliminate TMJ symptoms.
  • Improve your dental health by making it easier to keep your teeth and gums clean.
  • Enhance your self-esteem.
